Leadership West Bend is a program sponsored by the West Bend Area Chamber of Commerce. Its primary purpose is to “seek out emerging leaders in the West Bend area and prepare them for positions of influence and decision making.”
During the nine-month program each candidate participated in a group project for a local non-profit. Lac Lawrann was selected as one of the five non-profits to benefit from projects completed by the Leadership West Bend class of 2017. The Lac Lawrann project involved creating an annual report template that will make future annual reports visually appealing, informative, relative to current and potential donors and easier for the friends board to update on an annual basis. In addition to the facts and figures, the new format includes stories demonstrating the impact the conservancy has on our friends and visitors. Also delivered was a completed 2016 Annual Report. Watch the Lac Lawrann website and other communication channels for the annual report as soon as it becomes publicly available.
The friends of Lac Lawrann would like to thank Amanda Follett (Schloemer Law Firm, S.C.), Chris Lang (Westbury Bank), and Andrea Lange (River Shores Chiropractic) for their willingness to take on our project and for their hard work and dedication throughout. Congratulations Amanda, Chris, Andrea and the rest of the Leadership West Bend Class of 2017 on their graduation from the program.
Among the graduates was Meghann Reigle, Conservation Supervisor at the West Bend Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department. Meghann was awarded her diploma by Leadership West Bend Alumni Association President Craig Hoeppner and West Bend Mayor Kraig Sodownikow. Congratulations Meghann!
Craig Hoeppner, Director of West Bend’s Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department was awarded a Betty Pearson Community Leadership Award. This award is given “in recognition of distinguished and outstanding commitment to our community.” Craig was presented his award by the award’s namesake, Betty Pearson. Thank you Craig for everything you do to support Lac Lawrann and the work you do throughout our community!
