The Maurin Society

The Maurin Society consists of all individuals who have named Friends of Lac Lawrann Conservancy in their estate plan.

A lasting legacy through giving

Lawrence and Ann Maurin were visionaries. When they purchased the land in 1955 they envisioned it as a quiet place to “escape the everyday pressures of city life.” They soon realized that it was even much more than that and began planting trees and shrubs with the vision that native wildlife would return to the land. You can help maintain that legacy by being a member of the Maurin Society.

What are some ways that this can be done?

  • Name Friends of Lac Lawrann Conservancy, Inc. as a beneficiary on a life insurance policy, an annuity, an IRA, or other similar financial document.
  • Include Friends of Lac Lawrann Conservancy in your will to receive cash, stocks, real estate, or other property.

Can I designate that funds I bequeath are used for specific purpose(s)?

Yes.  You can designate a special project or program to support.  Otherwise the funds will be added to the general endowment for on-going support of Lac Lawrann’s mission.

Please contact your financial advisor or attorney to include Lac Lawrann Conservancy in your estate plans. E-mail info@laclawrann.org for more details about the Maurin Society or to join.
