Greetings Friends,

Well Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow today, but not to worry, even with more winter to come, we have things for you to enjoy at the Conservancy.  When Phil was busy scurrying around and headed back underground, I was out on the trails at Lac Lawrann and I saw some amazing things.  While walking the Lake Loop trail there were the usual deer tracks and some others I haven’t seen in a while, actual snowshoe and cross country ski tracks on the trail. The hike also revealed some recent beaver activity near the lake, as well as raccoon, opossum and a few other tracks I wasn’t able to identify.  We could use your help, so bring your camera or cell phone and post a few pictures to our Facebook page or twitter feed.

We have enough snow at Lac Lawrann to get out and enjoy winter in West Bend.  As a result we will be having our first snowshoe Saturday on February 4, from 10 AM to 2 PM; so, please join us for some good winter fun exploring the trails on our snowshoes.  See you on the trails.
