Lac Lawrann Conservancy celebrated the ribbon cutting of its new Nature Playground on September 24 night! This exciting project was made possible through years of planning from City staff and an outpouring of community support.

Highlights of the playground include:

  • Amphitheater for group gatherings, performances, and West Bend Library Nature Storytime
  • Music wall for creative sound exploration
  • Mud kitchen and water wall to encourage imaginative play
  • Agility area with two slides and a tunnel
  • Town area with a general store, bank, and cabin
  • Sensory garden and sensory walls for hands-on discovery
  • Overlook deck with sweeping views
  • Open-air shelter featuring a hand-painted mural
  • Pier for spotting turtles, frogs, and other wildlife

More than 100 donors—including individuals, families, community organizations, nonprofits, and local businesses—contributed to the project. Thank you to the many generous donors as well as the many West Bend Parks, Recreation & Forestry staff members who made this possible!
Lac Lawrann is open from dawn until dusk daily and is always free to the public.
